Mental Health Counseling
Using an eclectic approach to therapy styles, my strength is in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). If you are living from a spiritual base, I will seek to incorporate that into our sessions. Areas of special concern are depression, communication styles, aging issues – especially family stress, but am comfortable dealing with a wide spectrum of mental health concerns. My personal beliefs are Christian, but am respectful of others who are not Christian.

PEARLS Program Solving Treatment
PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives) is a program developed by the University of Washington in collaboration with Aging and Disability Services, Northshore Senior Center, and Interactive Outcomes. PEARLS Program is a treatment program using methods of problem solving treatment, social and physical activation, and increased pleasant events to reduce depression in physically impaired and socially isolated people. It is an empowering, skill-building approach found empirically to be especially helpful for older adults, and epileptics who struggle with depression, often as a result of isolation.

Certified Anger Management Facilitation
Anger is a basic human emotion. It is used to express negative feelings such as rage, unhappiness, discontent, depression, etc. We may have observed that individuals often gain attention, control, and influence when they get angry. Because the expression of anger is a learned response, it follows these angry expressions can also be “unlearned.” We will work to establish skills for managing anger, as well as explore some root causes for this very powerful emotion.
